An article by Almodon reported the impact of the mass evacuation of migrant domestic workers on families that rely on their work, notably with the lack of alternatives for care work at home given the high prices of private institutions offering those services such as daycares. Several families are resorting today to employing Syrian women as domestic workers per hour -as opposed to a monthly basis- and without a contract.

Information International researcher noted that an estimated 70,000-75,000 migrant domestic workers are expected to stay in Lebanon.
