The bag contained the remains of L.N, an Ethiopian worker, <b>murdered, tied up, and disposed of.<\/b> The Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) were called in as a result.<\/p><p>The investigation led ISF to H.A. (1993), a Sudanese man living and working as the concierge of a building in Furn El Chebbek who <b>confessed to murdering L.N. <\/b>(reportedly born in 1989).<\/p><p>Upon the findings, ISF arrested H.A. on December 22, 2023, by the relevant authorities.<\/p><p>The story of L.N was reported in <b>extremely gory detail,<\/b> using a tone that can be least seen as <b>dehumanizing.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bb3da27 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bb3da27\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>On January 8, media outlets reported that a <b>migrant worker\u2019s body was found in a house near agricultural projects in the town of Edde, in the Jbeil district.<\/b><\/p><p>Security forces and forensic evidence teams arrived at the scene to inspect the body and investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Inter; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); word-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-text-word-spacing );\">Initial findings revealed that she <\/span><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Inter; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size ); word-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-text-word-spacing );\"><b>died from strangulation.<\/b><\/span><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); <b>major scam in the health insurance sector against migrant workers in Lebanon<\/b>, calling on the Minister of Labor, Moustafa Bayram, to put an end to these illegal practices.<\/p><p>In response, Bayram issued <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labor.gov.lb\/Temp\/Files\/0e145d90-2c4b-4eb6-a873-9ece5f7f8f65.pdf\">decision<\/a><\/strong> No. 4\/1 amending rules and regulations regarding <strong>insurance policies granted to migrant workers<\/strong> and requiring insurance companies to commit to the following:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4902506 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4902506\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>In case of death of the insured person for any reason:<\/strong>\u00a0<ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The insurance company must cover the costs of repatriating the body or remains to the country of origin of the worker or permanent residence abroad, with a minimum amount of $8,000 (eight thousand US dollars).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The legal heirs or designated beneficiaries, up to the second degree of kinship with the insured, shall receive the remaining balance of the $8,000 after deducting the repatriation costs, to make necessary arrangements.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The employer must ensure the repatriation of the remains within one week from the date of death.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>In case of permanent disability of the insured person:<\/strong><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the insured person sustains a permanent disability due to an accident, the insurance company must pay them a minimum of $10,000 (ten thousand US dollars).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case of partial permanent disability, a percentage of the $10,000 amount shall be paid according to the <\/span><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ltutc.com\/ArticleDetails.aspx?art_ID=1162\">table of disabilities<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> specified in the accidents and emergencies at work <\/span><strong><a under category 3 work permits, issued by the MoL, as well as residencies issued by General Security (GS), to travel to Lebanon for work, <strong>on the condition that they obtain a pre-approved employment contract from the Nepalese consulate.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Ghouzayel, the consulate does not object to producing this contract, The officer proceeds to arrest her and <strong>speak to her in an insulting manner.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This \u201cskit\u201d <strong>mocks the situation of migrant workers<\/strong> <strong>who are living under the unjust conditions of Kafala.<\/strong> LBC posted the sketch on their official social media account, but then quickly removed it from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/C2SawJ3O-Wd\/\">Instagram<\/a> and Facebook after backlash (but kept it on <\/span><strong><a style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The comparison between the salaries of public sector employees and military personnel to the wages of domestic workers assumes that domestic labor should be inherently <strong>crimes against humanity if they were carried out as part of a Saudi government policy to kill migrants<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Despite spending billions on sporting events to improve its image, As a result, the ISF raided a house in Aley where A.D. was residing, and arrested her.<\/p><p>During the interrogation, A.D. confessed to the allegations against her. She also proclaimed that she was in a relationship with a Syrian man who was blackmailing her by threatening to publish private pictures of her if she refused to steal from her employer.<\/p><p>Legal
