Since 2014, February 6th has been globally recognized as the “Global Day of CommemorAction”, dedicated to commemorating and remembering the lives lost, those who have gone missing, and individuals forcefully disappeared at sea and borders worldwide.
On this occasion, we urge the Lebanese authorities and international community to seek justice for migrants in Lebanon.
Situation Brief and Forecasted Needs of Migrant Domestic Workers in Lebanon
Since the 8th of October, Lebanon has been on the brink of a full-scale war. Villages on the southern borders have been repeatedly attacked by Israel, causing the displacement of more than 40,000 of their residents. This brief aims to share information on the current situation of migrant domestic workers in Lebanon following repeated attacks by Israel.

في يوم السبت 21 كانون الثاني (يناير) 2023 ، ألقي القبض على زميلنا ورفيقنا وصديقنا صموئيل (سامي) تسفاي في مطار رفيق الحريري في بيروت، بعد عودته من زيارة عائلية في إثيوبيا. يأتي الاعتقال بحجة أن سامي انتهك الشروط التعسفية للإقامة المفروضة عليه، وعلى عدد لا يحصى من المهاجرين\ات ، تحت نظام الكفالة.
