It may just be ‘cricket in a car park’ but, on the 21 September, the International Cricket Council have chosen the St. George’s Cricket Club’s next tournament to be part of their weekly programme, ICC360, looking at cricket outside of the traditional test playing nations.
Being shown in over 150 countries worldwide, as well as all Emirates and Qatar Airways flights, Beirut cricketers are going to be transformed into international superstars extraordinaire.
For one day only, the USJ Car Park in Monot will be transformed into South Asia, with traditional food from
Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan, live music, authentic dancing, flowing beer (courtesy of Colonel), much frivolity and, of course, a bit of cricket too.
Everybody is welcome for a wonderful day bringing people together and breaking down cultural divides. Please spread the world!
