And yet another migrant domestic worker commits suicide.

BEIRUT: A Kenyan maid was badly injured Monday after a rope she was using to escape from her employer’s third floor apartment snapped.

“Recently, the maid had been asking to go back to her country and see her children, the pictures of whom she had been carrying,” the statement said. “She refused to eat during her last three days and then committed suicide by hanging.”
In recent years, some countries have banned their citizens from working in Lebanon due to lack of legal protection and chronic human rights abuses, among them Philippines, Ethiopia, Nepal, Madagascar and most recently Kenya.
So when it happens with a Lebanese person, versus a migrant worker, (may his RIP), we do not automatically call it suicide?
