  • Youssef Haddad Could some of this be the result of the obsession of the Lebanese with their imported helpers from maids to domestic workers? Most of them end up hopelessly roaming the streets and doing anything to survive. In a country where over 8% are in deep poverty and where the unemployement is very high, lebanese should be doing the work, not at the reduced wages paid to foreigners, but at the legal wage. Those who cannot afford it, too bad!
