After reporting yesterday’s Ethiopian presumed “suicide” in Shiah, we found out today threw Al-Akhbar newspaper about the death, last Thursday night, of Bengali maid, Kana Aktar, after falling from the 5th floor balcony of her employer’s house (Najwa S.) in Hart Hreik (Beirut Southern Suburb). Al-Akhbar noted that “the Internal Security Forces (ISF) report concluded within minutes that the maid committed suicide”.
By not investigating properly the causes and circumstances of deaths, the ISF are contributing to perpetuating the falls, death and presumably suicide of migrant domestic workers!
