In 2001 the Lebanese law No. 296 deprived Palestinian refugees from owning a real estate property using the “No settlement” slogan as a justification, although Palestinians in Lebanon have been refusing any option other than returning to Palestine.

The Anti-Racism Movement (ARM) was launched in 2010 as a grassroots collective by young Lebanese feminist activists in collaboration with migrant workers and migrant domestic workers.
