KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation and Anti-Racism Movement call upon concerned individuals to join us tonight to commemorate the passing of the worker Janice Soriano de Jose, who according to news reports committed suicide on Sunday by jumping from the 11th floor of her employer’s house in Zalka.
Silent Vigil for Shanti Rai
Shanti Rai is a Nepalese domestic worker in Lebanon. She arrived to Lebanon on Feb. 5 2010. She died in Lebanon on Aug. 18 2012. She was 26 years old.Her body was found hanging in a DVD shop in Antelias.
Memorial Vigil for Victims of Fassouh Building
People from across Lebanon are invited to join a candlelight vigil to remember all the victims of the collapsed building in Achrafieh, and especially those who were not paid proper respects because they were not Lebanese.
