It’s that time of year again!! For the sixth year in a row, domestic workers will be celebrating Workers’ Day in Lebanon along with civil society organizations
(Beirut, March 10, 2015) – Lebanese authorities should recognize a union for domestic workers, who are excluded from the protection of the Lebanese labor code, more than 100 nongovernmental organizations said today.
“I left Sri Lanka when I was 24, to support my parents. On reaching Lebanon, I found myself working non-stop from 5am until two in the morning. It was slavery. There was no one to help us back then, but now we have hope.”
At the Anti-Racism Movement (ARM), we are constantly working on a multitude of different activities and initiatives. Most of our activities are only possible with the help of dedicated and passionate volunteers who work in collaboration with our core team.
The Anti-Racism Movement (ARM) was launched in 2010 as a grassroots collective by young Lebanese feminist activists in collaboration with migrant workers and migrant domestic workers.
